custom

DUIA Custom gives you the opportunity to use all dynamic dns features with your own domain name. You'll get ipv6 support and a friendly web account interface where you can add/delete hostnames, change ipv4/ipv6 addresses, add/delete cname or mx records or view logs. You can download any gui or console duiadns client for Windows, Linux, MacOS, FreeBSD, OpenWRT, Tomato etc. and the most important thing, IPv6 for LAN feature is included, so you can use the console client on your home router to update the IPv6 addresses of your home network devices.

Let's assume you have the domain example.com and is already hosted to Amazon DNS servers. To benefit from all duiadns features, you can create a subdomain like dyn.example.com and delegate the nameservers to ns1.duiadns.net / ns2.duiadns.net. Of course, you can use the entire domain example.com on duiadns servers but that was only a suggestion. Then create a duiadns account and add hostnames:

  • host1.dyn.example.com
  • host2.dyn.example.com
  • ............
  • host5.dyn.example.com

and then use duiadns client for dynamic ipv4/ipv6 updates or simply add static entries directly from the web interface.
